Dafermou Winery / Ktima Dafermou

Ktima Dafermou (Dafermou Winery) sits just outside the lace-making village of Pano Lefkara in the Larnaca district, where visitors are welcomed for guided tastings of Cypriot wines. Led by knowledgeable staff — including an oenologist praised by guests — the sessions walk you through sets of local wines and share stories about Cyprus's grape varieties and culture, among them the indigenous Yiannoudi. Downstairs you can see the wooden barrels and tanks where the wine is made and stored, and bottles are available to take home.

Open on weekday afternoons, the winery also serves as a memorable events venue: couples have celebrated weddings here, dining outdoors under fairy lights in a romantic atmosphere that guests describe as magical. Whether you drop in on a weekday for a relaxed tasting in the cool tasting room or plan a special celebration, Dafermou offers a personal, hands-on introduction to Cypriot winemaking in a countryside village setting. Reservations are welcome, though walk-in visitors have also been warmly received.
