Trakkos Donkey Farm

Trakkos Donkey Farm is a warm, family-run stop in the hillside village of Kathikas, in the Paphos district, where a working farm meets a laid-back café and bar. Home to more than 40 donkeys plus rabbits, chickens, turkeys and geese, it's a delightful petting-farm experience: for a small entry fee visitors can feed the donkeys carob pods or carrots, and children can even enjoy a gentle donkey ride around the grounds. The friendly Greek owner, who built the café himself, is happy to share stories about the animals and his farm.

Relax at the bar with a cold beer, an ice lolly on a warm day, or one of the freshly squeezed juices made from fruit grown on site, praised by visitors as among the best they've had. Before you leave, taste and take home the farm's own produce: honey, olive oil, homemade cherry liqueur, wine and zivania. With peaceful surroundings and stunning countryside views, it's an authentic, memorable stop while exploring the Paphos region.
