Set on one side of the main square in the picturesque mountain village of Kathikas, above Paphos, Kathikas Square Gin Bar is a relaxed cafe-bistro and gin bar with genuine village character. Regulars and visitors praise a remarkable selection of gin — reportedly more than 300 varieties — alongside hot and cold brews, specialty coffee and a tempting spread of cakes, muffins and cookies. The setting is a big part of the appeal: the traffic-free square lends a peaceful, sunny ambience by day, while a huge open wood fire makes the interior wonderfully cosy on chilly afternoons, often accompanied by friendly banter from locals.
Friendly, accommodating service comes up repeatedly in reviews. Open daily from 9:00 to 23:00, it works equally well for a morning coffee, an afternoon treat or an evening drink, with roadside parking available opposite. It's an ideal stop while exploring one of Cyprus's most charming hillside villages. Note that some light bites have drawn mixed feedback, so it shines most as a spot for drinks, coffee and cake.
