Bites are the reward currency you earn just for eating out. Check in when you are sitting at the table of a member venue and you collect Bites you can later spend on real treats.
A check-in needs you to actually be there, which is why it asks your phone where it is. A check-in from the sofa does not work, and that is the point.
A booking the venue scanned at the door earns Bites too, without you doing anything, because an arrival the venue confirmed is stronger proof than a phone.
Bites are loyalty points. They have no cash value, cannot be bought, sold or transferred, and they never affect how places rank on CyprusBites.
The rewards you spend them on are funded by venues, not by us.
