In town, the Paphos Promenade follows the sea toward the castle and beach, dotted with cafes and shops, while the Paphos Market in the old town gives you stalls, craft shops and a friendly, traditional feel. Head out to Peyia for something wilder: the Avakas Gorge Nature Trail winds through a limestone canyon with a spring-fed creek and wild goats, and it's free to explore.
Along the coast, the chalky Sea Caves and the secluded, cairn-strewn White River Beach reward the effort with dramatic cliffs and clear water. Note White River has no facilities, so bring water, snacks and anything else you'll need.
