White River Beach is a wild, secluded pebble beach on the coast near Agios Georgios Pegeias, just outside Peyia in the Paphos district. Framed by dramatic cliffs and lapped by clear Mediterranean water, it is best known for the hundreds of stone towers and cairns stacked by visitors, which give the shore a striking, almost mystical character. With no sunbeds, bars or facilities, this is a place to escape the crowds — many visitors report seeing only a handful of others, especially early in the day.

The setting is especially magical at sunset, making it a favourite for photographers and those seeking a peaceful, natural retreat. Access is part of the adventure: the rough track down is not suited to standard cars, so most visitors park near the food truck above the beach and walk down a short trail. Bring water, sturdy footwear and everything you need for the day.

Note that signs warn stone cairns can be harmful to turtles, so admire rather than add to them. A genuine slice of unspoiled Cyprus coastline.
