STAMNA TAVERN

Set in one of the oldest houses in Ayia Napa, Stamna Tavern has been serving traditional Cypriot food since 1982. This warm, family-run taverna was founded by Andreas, who you may still find cooking in the kitchen or bringing plates to your table. The atmosphere is genuinely local, with family photographs on the walls and a cosy, air-conditioned dining room alongside outdoor seating.

The kitchen focuses on homemade classics: generous meat and vegetarian mezes, tender kleftiko lamb, afelia (pork marinated in wine and coriander), moussaka fresh from the oven, and the celebrated house taramosalata. Vegan and vegetarian guests are genuinely well looked after, with a wide variety of dishes. Visitors consistently praise the friendly, attentive staff, fair prices and authentic Cypriot flavours, with many returning multiple times during a single holiday.
