Symposio tavern

Set in a beautifully restored stone house in the Troodos wine village of Pelendri, Symposio Tavern celebrates authentic, almost-forgotten Cypriot flavours. Owner Nicos brings decades of experience and a genuine passion for traditional cooking, using wood ovens, smokers and an underground fire pit where lamb is slow-roasted for hours. Much of the produce comes straight from the family's own gardens and farm, giving every plate a fresh, seasonal character.

Guests come for the generous meat and vegetarian meze, where dish after dish keeps arriving, alongside signature offerings like kleftiko, homemade bread and dishes featuring wild morel mushrooms from the surrounding forest.
