Set in a lovingly renovated village house in the heart of Kyperounta, high in the Troodos mountains, Kyperia Tavern & Bar serves genuine, home-style Cypriot cooking. Guests come for the generous Cypriot meze, a parade of small dishes that showcases fresh, mostly locally sourced and seasonal ingredients, alongside grilled meats such as pork chops, filetakia and fresh trout (pestrofa). The full-bodied house red and local village wine round out the meal, and a dessert made with apples from the village is a favourite finish.

The setting is warm and cozy, with grapevines overhead, resident cats, a winter fireplace and plenty of parking beside the community lot. Staff are repeatedly praised as friendly, attentive and happy to prepare off-menu dishes for vegetarians. On Sundays the kitchen focuses on meze only, and the bar comes alive on select evenings with live music.
