Fabrika Hill Cave Complex- Megalithic site

Rising just minutes from Paphos harbour and the town centre, the Fabrika Hill Cave Complex is a free, open-access archaeological site where ancient history and adventure meet. Beneath the hill lies a labyrinth of interconnected underground chambers and tunnels, originally cut as Hellenistic catacombs from around the 3rd century BC and later reused over the centuries. Visitors descend into the caves at their own pace, discovering carved pillars, eroded steps and cool rock-hewn rooms.

A walking bridge leads up to the hilltop, where a protective shelter guards the largest excavated pebble mosaic floor in Cyprus, its black-and-white panels depicting two dolphins holding tridents. From the top, panoramic views stretch across Paphos and its coastline. The setting is refreshingly wild and uncommercial: bring sturdy shoes and a torch, and note that terrain is uneven, signage is limited and there are no facilities.
