Hokkaido Express Nicosia is a welcoming Japanese and Thai restaurant tucked away in Engomi, on the western side of the Cypriot capital. Diners praise the freshness of the fish, from impeccable nigiri sushi with perfectly sticky rice to sashimi and beautifully cooked salmon, alongside soft, warming hot rolls. The kitchen reaches beyond sushi too, with tender teriyaki chicken and Thai dishes rounding out the menu, and a playful chocolate spring roll dessert for those with a sweet tooth.
The dining room is nicely decorated, quiet and cozy, making it a comfortable choice for a relaxed dinner, while attentive, genuinely kind staff keep the experience smooth and unhurried. Food tends to arrive quickly, and guests report equally strong results ordering delivery at home.
