A no is not a dead end. The decline carries a link that shows you other places near that one, open at the same time, picked for the same evening rather than at random.
A venue can be full, closed, or simply unable to take your party on that night. Rather than leave you there, the decline carries alternatives.
They are worked out for your request: your date, your time, your number of people, near the venue that said no. The same engine that ranks everything else on the site ranks these, so nothing in the list is sponsored.
The venue may also propose a different time instead of declining outright, in which case you get a time to accept or refuse rather than a no.
