Members carry one card. Your points sit on it under your name, they are yours, and they can only ever be spent with you. It costs you nothing to run, the member does the work, and every point on it is a visit you can prove happened.
One card, and a separate balance at every venue that takes it. A member who collects at you and at the bakery across the road has two balances that know nothing about each other. YOUR POINTS NEVER LEAVE YOUR VENUE. They are not money, they cannot be moved, cashed, transferred or spent anywhere else, and nobody can arrive holding points somebody else paid for.
That is the whole arrangement, and it is why it is free. There is no pot of platform points we sell you access to. You decide what a point is worth, you fund the free coffee, and we keep the record. The card is on the free list in your features, so switching it on does not raise an invoice and never will.
WHAT YOU GET THAT A PAPER CARD CANNOT GIVE YOU. A paper card tells you nothing. It goes in a wallet and you never see it again. Every scan here is a dated record of a real member in your venue, so the card page shows you how many members collected and how many times, and the arrival is proven for everything else that needs proof.
Nothing in the record is ever edited. A mistake is corrected by a second entry that cancels the first, so the history stays true. That is deliberate: the reason an owner can trust a balance is that nobody, including us, can quietly change one.
